Art Director & Marketing Coordinator
The ideal candidate will be curious, flexible and eager to learn new things. They will have a thorough knowledge of general graphic design principles and be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and the Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint. They will have a good working knowledge of website UI/UX design principles. A basic understanding of web development is not required but is a plus, and while agency experience, or creative experience in the financial services or other professional fields is preferred, we believe finding the right person is more important than finding the right skillset - If you’re eager to learn, and have a genuine interest in helping build our team and our business, we will provide training and education as needed.
You will work directly with our firm’s Founder, our clients, external freelancers, consultants and other stakeholders on a variety of creative assignments for both our clients and our firm. Projects typically include website design projects, presentations/investor decks (PowerPoint), brand identity design, infographics, sales collateral, and other general graphic design projects as needed.
We are flexible, collaborative and supportive, and have a “roll-up-your-sleeve” attitude. Our firm is small but growing, so there are ample opportunities for growth and development.
Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in the visual/graphic arts
Minimum three years professional experience
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign,Photoshop, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Website UI/UX design skills (We use Webflow for all our web design/development services, and are willing to train the right candidate)
A professional, clean, ‘smart’ design aesthetic, appropriate for Hedge Funds, Private Equity Firms, VCs, and other firms operating in the financial services industry
A willingness to take the reins and operate with limited oversight, while delivering exceptional work that exceeds expectations
A positive attitude, a can-do spirit and a willingness to learn new things
Able to multi-task several projects at a time and deliver on tight deadlines
Preferred, but not required:
A basic understanding of SEO principles and strategy
A basic understanding of HTML, Java Script, CSS, etc.
Hands-on experience using Google AdWords, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and common email marketing platforms, social media posting tools, and content management systems
Proficiency in Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, etc.
